Trust & transparency
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information NearVance handles, why we use it, the choices available to you, and the additional safeguards that apply when you connect Google Business Profile.
Effective and last updated: August 11, 2026
01Who we are
NearVance is a software service operated by Marketania (collectively, “NearVance,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). NearVance helps local businesses manage and improve their public business presence, including reviews, posts, business information, recommendations, and related performance insights.
This Privacy Policy applies to nearvance.com, app.nearvance.com, and the NearVance services that link to it. If you use NearVance for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to provide and manage information for that organization.
02Information we collect
We collect information in the following categories:
- Account information: name, email address, authentication data, organization membership, role, and account preferences.
- Business information: business names, locations, contact details, categories, hours, services, products, descriptions, brand preferences, photos, website information, and other content you provide or connect.
- Connected-platform information: data made available through services you authorize, including Google Business Profile data described below.
- Service activity: actions, approvals, publishing history, integration status, audit events, usage limits, and feature interactions.
- Technical information: device, browser, IP address, timestamps, diagnostic logs, cookies, and security signals.
- Billing information: subscription, plan, transaction, and invoice information. Payment-card details are handled by our payment processor and are not stored directly by NearVance.
- Communications: support requests, feedback, survey responses, and other messages you send to us.
03Google user data
When you choose to connect Google, NearVance uses Google OAuth so you can grant access without giving NearVance your Google password. Depending on the features you enable and the permissions Google makes available, we may access and process:
- Google Business Profile accounts and locations you are allowed to manage;
- business names, addresses, phone numbers, websites, categories, hours, service areas, attributes, services, products, descriptions, and profile status;
- reviews, review replies, posts, offers, events, photos, and other profile media;
- profile performance and engagement information; and
- authorization tokens needed to keep the connection working until you disconnect it or Google revokes it.
We use this information only to provide and secure the NearVance features you request—for example, displaying your locations, syncing approved profile data, drafting or publishing authorized content, replying to reviews, providing recommendations, and reporting performance. NearVance does not use Google user data for advertising, does not sell it, and does not use it to determine eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or other high-impact decisions.
NearVance’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You may disconnect Google from NearVance at any time. You may also revoke access in your Google Account’s third-party connections settings. Disconnecting stops new Google data from being collected and disables features that need the connection.
04How we use information
We use information to:
- create, authenticate, and administer your account and workspace;
- connect, display, synchronize, and manage the business locations you select;
- generate drafts, recommendations, audits, scores, summaries, and other requested AI-assisted outputs;
- publish or submit actions you approve, or actions you expressly configure for automation;
- provide support, transactional messages, and service notifications;
- process subscriptions, enforce plan limits, and prevent abuse;
- protect users, connected platforms, and NearVance from fraud and security risks;
- troubleshoot and improve reliability, accessibility, and product performance; and
- comply with law and enforce our agreements.
Where required, we rely on your consent. We may also process information as needed to perform our contract with you, comply with legal obligations, and pursue legitimate interests such as security and service improvement, subject to your rights under applicable law.
05AI-assisted features
NearVance may send the minimum relevant business content—such as a review, service description, brand voice, or requested task—to contracted AI service providers to generate the output you request. We do not intentionally send your Google password or payment-card number to an AI provider.
AI output can be incomplete or inaccurate. NearVance provides review and approval controls and clearly identifies automations that you enable. You remain responsible for reviewing outputs and ensuring that published information is accurate and appropriate for your business.
06How we disclose information
We may disclose information only as reasonably necessary to:
- Service providers: host the service, authenticate users, store data, process payments, deliver email, provide AI features, monitor security, and support connected-platform functionality. These providers may process information only under applicable agreements and instructions.
- Your organization: make workspace information visible to other authorized owners, members, agency users, or client approvers based on their role.
- Connected platforms: carry out actions you request, such as publishing an approved Google post or review reply.
- Legal and safety purposes: comply with valid legal process, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse, or enforce our agreements.
- Business transfers: support a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
NearVance does not sell your personal information or Google user data.
07Storage, security, and retention
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. These include access controls, tenant separation, audit logging, secure transport, and encryption of sensitive connection credentials. No system can guarantee absolute security.
We retain information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. Retention periods vary by information type and may reflect operational, security, billing, backup, dispute-resolution, and legal requirements. When you disconnect a provider or delete your account, we delete or de-identify associated information that is no longer needed, subject to limited backups, fraud-prevention records, audit records, and legal obligations. Backup copies are isolated from active use and expire according to our backup lifecycle.
08Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- access, correct, download, or delete personal information;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- withdraw consent where processing relies on consent;
- disconnect an integration or revoke its permissions;
- opt out of non-essential marketing communications; and
- appeal a decision or complain to a data-protection authority.
You can manage many settings in NearVance. For other requests, email us at hello@nearvance.com. We may need to verify your identity and authority over the relevant workspace before fulfilling a request.
09Cookies and analytics
NearVance uses necessary cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember settings, prevent fraud, and operate the service. If we use optional analytics or marketing technologies that require consent, we will provide the applicable notice and controls. Browser settings may allow you to block cookies, but blocking necessary cookies can prevent parts of the service from working.
10International use and children
NearVance and its providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use legally recognized safeguards for international data transfers.
NearVance is a business service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to NearVance, contact us so we can investigate and delete it.
11Changes and contact
We may update this policy as NearVance evolves. We will post the revised policy and update the date above. If a change materially affects how we handle information, we will provide additional notice when required.
Questions or privacy requests can be sent to hello@nearvance.com.
